We are looking for three inquisitive explorers to become official futurists for the city and on behalf of the 2050 Edinburgh City Vision campaign.
Applications are now open to Edinburgh residents aged 18+, with lucky candidates securing one of the most exciting, and unusual jobs in Edinburgh.
Successful applicants will enjoy an all-expenses research trip to one of three European cities (Helsinki, Copenhagen or Dublin) to explore and learn lessons from each pioneering city for the benefit of the 2050 Edinburgh City Vision.
How to Apply
Simply create a video pitch of a minimum of 60 seconds telling us what your vision for Edinburgh’s future is, and share with us on either one of the following channels:

Criteria
All submissions must have high quality video and audio and include:
Hold a board or paper showing your written City Vision: your hopes for Edinburgh in 32 years
Explain why this is your vision for Edinburgh in 2050
Give a short pitch as to why you should be chosen as one of our three futurists
Job Requirements
This very special assignment requires you and a friend to travel one of the following cities and vlog about your journey to show the benefits of implementing a city vision.
Dublin is two years in to their City Development Plan which will run to 2022, setting out an integrated framework to ensure the city is developed in an inclusive way
Copenhagen produced a ‘Guide to Copenhagen 2025’ by which time they plan to be carbon neutral
Finland (Helsinki) pioneers health and environmental technology and research
This activity is open to everyone, however successful futurist applicants must be over the age of 18, have a valid passport and able to travel to the relevant destination for a minimum of 2 days between 12-26 November 2018. Read the full terms and conditions here.
